Introduction of BOB LONDON.
BOB LONDONはイギリスをベースに活躍するイラストレーターです。彼の手がける手描きのイラストは、とても繊細で美しいが何とも言えない奇妙さを兼ね備えています。
Bob London is an illustrator living and working in LONDON, UK. He continues to develop his hand drawing work that is delicate, beautiful and yet peculiar.
1. あなたの名字のLONDONですが、本名ですか？それともアーティストとしての名前ですか？
Is the surname "LONDON" your real name, or it is your artist name?
はい。LONDONというのは僕の本当の名前です。でもひょっとすると、僕の本当の名前じゃないかもしれないにしても僕が本当の名前を言う必要性ってある？もしかしたら、僕は自分の名字をわすれてしまったのかもしれない。
はたして、サンタ・クロースは本物？
ジーザス・クライストは本物？
ジーザス・クライストというのは彼の本名？
それともケビンだった？
それともサンタという名前だったのかな？
It is my real name. If it wasn't, would I tell you my real name? Maybe it isn't my real name. I don't know. Maybe I have forgotten. Is Santa Claus real? Was Jesus Christ real? Was Jesus his real name or was it Kevin? Was Jesus Christs real name Santa Claus?
2. BOBさんにとって自分の作品のインスピレーションとなるものって何ですか？
What is the inspiration in your work?
人々、場所、顔、チキンとチップス。美しさと醜さを同等に見たとき、夜中の三時の警察のサイレン。
People, places, faces, chicken and chips. Beauty and ugliness in equal measure.
The sound of police sirens at 3am.
3. BOB さんの作品の中には沢山の人物がが見受けられますが、彼らは本当に存在している人達なのですか、それとも想像で出てきた人？
You drawing contain lot`s of figure. Are they really existing in real life or they are imaginary people?
ものによっては、本当に存在する人達ですが絵によっては想像ででてきた人です。僕にとって、どっちがどっちかはわからない。
Some are real, and some are imgainary. But I don't know which is which.
4. どんな材料を使って絵をかいているのですか?
What kind of material do you use to draw??
1. Uni blue biro pen 0.7mm
2. Rotring xonox graphic pen 0.2mm
5. スタジオをもっていますか？もしあるとしたら、どんなスタジオか写真で見せてくれますか？
Do you have a studio?(If you have, will you send us picture of your studio?)?
自宅に大きなテーブルがあります。でも、とても恥ずかしいから残念ながら写真は見せられないね。
I have a large table in my house. But it is very shy and I can't show you a photograph. sorry.

2009年のRip Curlのコレクションにて、洋服と自身の作品とのコラボレーションをてがける予定です。
更に、And-aで洋服の作品を発表する他フランスのSinpleoのコマーシャルをてがける予定となっています。
In 2009 sees me colloaborating on my artists range of clothes for Rip Curl and I also have a piece of clothing for And-a. Also continue my TV commercials for Simpleo in France.
