■3月にCalm & Punk Galleryで開催される個展『SYNDROME』に向けて只今制作真っ最中だと思いますが、今回はどのような作品を発表する予定ですか？
「女性の残酷さ」と「それを覗き見る楽しみ」をコンセプトにして、コマーシャルベースから一歩踏み込んだ表現が出来ればと思っています。カラーを極力抑えて、モノクロのストロークをシルクスクリーンやデジタルプリント、ギャラリー壁面に展開してきます。
■また、会期中にプリントゴッコを使ったワークショップを開催されるとのことですが、それに関して少し教えて下さい。
参加者と僕とでプリントゴッコを使ったコラボレーションをしたいと思っています。具体的には、僕がボディとなるイラストを描いて、その上に参加者が自分の好きな絵や柄を作成し、プリントゴッコで合体させると言う物です。とても簡単にアナログとデジタルの組み合わせが出来るので、きっと楽しくなると思います。
■それでは、最後に今回の個展への意気込みと読者の方へのメッセージをお願いします。
今回は、本当に久しぶりの個展となり、試したかった事など色々とやっています。コマーシャルとは一味違った、より可愛く、より残酷な女の子達がいろんな形で展開されます。オリジナルのTシャツやスカーフも用意していますので、是非ご来場下さい。
I think you are in the middle of work and preparation for the exhibition, SYNDROME which will be held at Calm & Punk Gallery in March,2007. Please tell us what kind of work you will show in this exhibition?
- I hope to describe more deeply into things rather than the commercial base, and I want “Cruelty of Women” and “Pleasure of peeking it” as concept in this exhibition.
I toned down colors as much as possible,and spread out the monochrome stroke on silk screen, digital print and the surface of a gallery wall.
Could you tell us a little about the workshop you’ll have during your exhibition? I heard Printgokko will be used in this workshop. *Printgokko is a portable silk screen printer for family use
- I’m planning to do collaboration with participants using Printgokko. Concretely speaking, I will draw main part, and participants will draw or paint on my illustration as they like, and put them together by Printgokko. It is very easy to combine analog and digital, so you might be able to enjoy it!
Finally, I would like to hear how your enthusiasm is for this exhibition, and please give a message for the readers.
- It’s been a long time since I’ve had my exhibition last time, so now, I’m working on all sorts of things I have been hoping to try this time. Cuter and brutal girls will be introduced in many styles. It is a bit different from commercial way.
I also have original T-shirts and scarves in store. We look forward to seeing you there!

【ワークショップ概要】
レーザープリンタで出力したシンボロンのイラストに、参加者各自がプリントゴッコでつくった版をのせて、オリジナルのコラボレーション作品をつくります。プリントゴッコの特徴でもある、デジタルプリントでは出せない特色（メタリック色、蛍光色など）での表現や、押し方やタイミングによって1枚1枚異なる、味のある作品ができあがります。デジタル（パソコン）とアナログ（プリントゴッコ）の表現手法の組み合わせによって、新しいクリエイティブな発見と想像力がふくらむワークショップです。

You will make an original collaboration work. Each of participants create their own work using printgokko, and put it on SYMBOLON’s illustration which is printed by laser printer.
It is a feature of Printgokko to be able to show metallic color and fluorescent color, also each work will be finished differently and nicely depends on how you press and the timming you press. This workshop will give you a new creative discovery and grow your imagination by the technique, use of Digital/computer and Analog/Printgokko.
