スイスのクリエイティブティーム「//DIY」の手がけるブランド「+41」より彼らがデザインしたNike ID Air Max が出ました。スニーカーに目玉がついたユニークなデザインです。このスニーカーとTシャツとステッカーのセットが41個限定で発売され、売上げはチャリティーとして寄付されるそうです。しかし残念ながらすでに完売してしまったそうですが、最後のチャンスとして10月末にスイスのチューリッヒでオークションにかけられるそうです。どうしても手に入れたい！という人は参加してみては？
A new Nike ID Air Max is now out from +41, the brand by the Swiss creative team //DIY. A unique design with eyes on the sneaker. Exclusive numbered 41 sets of these sneakers + stickers + T-shirts were sold and all the benefits went to a charitable organization. Unfortunately though, the shoes were all sold out before the release. But as a last chance, the shoes will be on auction in Zurich at the end of October. If you must have it, then why not go?

BECKのニューアルバム『The Information』のデザインをBig Activeが手がけました。何もない真っ白なジャケットですが、中にステッカーが1シート入っていてそのステッカーを使ってリスナーが自由にジャケットを作れるというもの。このステッカーは全部で4種類で、総勢20名のアーティストが参加しています。ファンのみならずとも全種類手に入れたくなります！

Big Active did the design for BECK’s new album, The Information. It’s got a plain white jacket but inside there’s a sheet of stickers which listeners can use to get creative and make their own jacket. There are 4 different types of these stickers and a total of 20 artists have joined the project. Even if you aren’t a BECK fan, you’d still want to collect all of these stickers!

NYを拠点に活動しているアーティスト/デザイナーのKenzo Minamiの最近のプロジェクトをいくつか紹介します。
Here’s some latest projects of the artist / designer Kenzo Minami based in NY.

まず、Kenzo Minami自身が手がけるファッションブランドのSeason No.4（2006 F/W）のコレクションが発売されました。今期のテーマは『Frequency Modulation』『AM/FM Shuffle』『Late Night Radio Culture』。ニューヨークでは今期からバーニーズでの取り扱いも始まったそうです。東京では伊勢丹新宿店メンズ館2階のメンズクリエイターズ、LOVELESS、ADDITION ADELAIDE、ELIMINATOR、International Gallery BEAMSにて購入可能。
The collection for Season No.4 (2006 F/W) of Kenzo Minami’s garment project has started. The themes for this season are “Frequency Modulation”, “AM/FM Shuffle”, “Late Night Radio Culture”. They are at Barneys New York (at Madison Ave store and Beverly Hills store) from this season.

次は9月にオランダのハーグで開催されたインターナショナル・アートフェス「TodaysArt」にて発表された作品。ビル全体にアートワークが映し出されました。
Next up is his work exhibited at “TodaysArt”, the international art festival held at Hague in Netherlands. His artwork was on entire outside surface of city hall building.

そして現在手がけているのがニューヨークで11月11日から12月12日まで開催される個展「CLOSER」のための作品。テーマはPorcupine Syndrome（ヤマアラシのジレンマ）と呼ばれる概念や、それによる人間関係や相互作用。ウォールペーパー（PCのではなく、実際の壁紙）の展示の他、今回発表されるcommonwealthと共同で制作中の立体作品がこれまでとはかなり違ったスタイルで見ものです！
He is currently working on a exhibit piece he will be showing at his solo show in NY, “CLOSER” which will be held from November 11th to December 12th. Its theme is based on Porcupine Syndrome and model of human relationships and interaction according to it. He is working on a actual wall paper (not for computers) as well as the 3D construction with commonwealth which he is collaborating with for his show is drastically different style, so this is a must see!

スウェーデンの出版社Cederteg Publishingから世界中の注目若手フォトグラファーの作品を紹介するマガジン『Cederteg』が創刊されました。Sandber&Timonenによるアートディレクションで、年4回発行。
Cederteg, the new magazine from Cederteg Publishing of Sweden is now out. Art directed by Sandber&Timonen, the magazine scheduled 4 times a year will introduce up and coming photographers from around the world.

「Atmosphere 03」にて紹介した、セット・デザインを得意とするロンドンのアーティスト、Rachel Thomasから最近手がけたいくつかのプロジェクトの様子が届きました。
We’ve received some news on London based artist Rachel Thomas’s latest project, who does some excellent work with set design. We’ve introduced Rachel and her work in Atmosphere 03as well.

まずは、UKの「POP」マガジンとロンドンのDover Street Marketとのコラボレーション企画「POP SHOP」のディスプレイ。幻想的なキノコたちとその水玉模様が店の内外にちりばめられている、まさに”ポップ”なデコレーションです。こちらのショップではイヴサンローランやミュウミュウを始めとする様々なブランドから限定商品が販売されているようです。ちなみにこの「POP SHOP」が10月には青山のDover Street Market Tokyoにも巡回してくるとの事です。
First off is her display work for the collaboration project between POP magazine of UK and Dover Street Market in London, ‘POP SHOP’. A truly “pop” display with a landscape of fantasy mushrooms, whose spots have escaped and bred causing a polka dot frenzy inside and outside. The store sells special product from Miu Miu, Giles Deacon, Yves Saint Laurent and many others. Apparently, on October 20th the POP SHOP will be coming to Aoyama’s Dover Street Market Tokyo.

次はロンドン・ファッションウィーク期間中にジャイルス・ディーコンのショウのために作った作品。ショウはロンドン東部にあるジャイルスのスタジオに付随した建物で行われ、そこの美しい庭に、彼の服のモチーフに使われたノコギリの刃を形どった巨大なオブジェを設置しました。エントランスには、コレクションで使われているガイコツのブローチを4.5メートルに巨大化させたガイコツのオブジェが訪れる人を出迎えました。（写真はアシスタントのGemmaが様々なポージングをさせているところ）
Next up is the work made for Giles Deacon’s show during London Fashion Week. The show took place in a building attached to his lovely studio in East London. On his beautiful garden, a black glitter circular saw blade used as a motif for his clothes was installed on the grass. At the entrance, a gigantically scaled 4.5meter skeleton used in his collection welcomed the guests. (The photo shows Rachel’s assistant Gemma trying out different poses for their bony friend.)

そして最後はgrafik magazineとLetrasetがオーガナイズした「Felt Tip」展に出品したドローイング。この企画は、総勢30名のデザイナーにLetrasetのマーカーと真っ白なA2の紙が与えられ、それを使って世界に一つのポスターを作るというもの。残念ながらポスターの展示は９月いっぱいで終わってしまったのですが、そのカタログがgrafik magazineで買えるそうです。
And last but not least, the drawing shown at the ”Felt Tip” show organized by grafik magazine and Letraset. For this project, 30 artists were given a plain A2 paper and markers by Letraset to make a one and only poster. Unfortunately, the exhibition was finished in September, but you can buy the catalogue from grafik magazine.
